Basic Fundamentals of Microblading
This course is intended for beginners who want to begin a career in permanent makeup. It’s designed to provide you with hands-on experience necessary to learn the fundamental basics and techniques required to create beautifully natural-looking brows. Upon completion of this course, you will be equipped with the skills and confidence needed to become a brow artist.
To master microblading, you must start with the basics. In this course we will cover:
- Blood-borne pathogens test (pre-exam)
- Understanding skin anatomy
- Exploring color theory
- Selecting pigment colors
- Ensuring sanitation and sterilization
- Setting up and breaking down the worktable
- Examining blade types and tool configurations
- Mastering the proper depth of application
- Creating custom microblading strokes and designs
- Designing brows from scratch, both with and without stencils
- Utilizing topical anesthetics
- Addressing troubleshooting scenarios
- Identifying contradictions
- Completing consent forms and explaining aftercare
- Gaining insights into professional tips and secrets
Things to consider
If you’re ready to embark on a new career in microblading, there are several factors to take into account. Location plays a pivotal role in securing proper training, especially if you’re new to the permanent makeup industry. Attending an in-person class allows you to meet your instructor, ask questions, and adequately prepare before the course. While online microblading courses may seem enticing and are suitable for advanced training, an in-person class offers hands-on experience and personalized guidance from your instructor.
In Texas, there are no specific training regulations in place for microblading. However, it is mandatory to hold a tattoo license issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services to perform any tattoo services, including permanent makeup. During your training, you will have the opportunity to work on a live model. Models can be provided if necessary, but we recommend that you bring your own model. This provides you with the chance to observe the healing process of microblading and start building your portfolio.
