Things to consider
If you’re ready to embark on a new career in permanent makeup, there are several factors to take into account. Location plays a pivotal role in securing proper training, especially if you’re new to the permanent makeup industry. Attending an in-person class allows you to meet your instructor, ask questions, and adequately prepare before the course. While online courses may seem enticing and are suitable for advanced training, an in-person class offers hands-on experience and personalized guidance from your instructor.
In Texas, there are no specific training regulations in place for permanent makeup. However, it is mandatory to hold a tattoo license issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services to perform any tattoo services, including permanent makeup. During your training, you will have the opportunity to work on a live model. Models can be provided if necessary, but we recommend that you bring your own model. This provides you with the chance to observe the healing process and start building your portfolio.
